A Proposal for a Quiet(er) Spirit

When I started this blog, I posted about quiet spirits.  About the fact that having one didn't really involve removing all the disquieting things in your life.  And that's true.

But today I found myself thinking that my spirit might be a little quieter without a few things:

1.  No opposing lawyers calling me "you people," in reference to defense lawyers.

2.  No sermons from said opposing counsel about how "we people" take too long in depositions these days...and on and on and on.

3.  No weekly emails instructing me to remove anything I want to keep from the refrigerator at work or it will be tossed.

4.  No shortage of Jubilation Gardenias in the Birmingham Metropolitan area after I have dug holes for them in my yard.  (Yes, I have two big empty holes in my yard.  Robbers beware.)

5.  No coupons that require me to change the settings on my browser--every time I want to print them.

Now, you may be saying to yourself, these five things won't make my spirit any quieter.  And maybe you're right.  But it's worth a shot, don't you think?
